Video conferencing anywhere anytime with Bluejeans

Botany members now have free access to a video conferencing service built on a cloud-based software called BlueJeans.  BlueJeans supports up to 25 participants for each video conferencing session. In addition to live, simultaneous two-way video and audio transmissions, participants can also share application display from PowerPoint, Keynote or other applications. Participants can join the meeting from a desktop computer, a laptop, an iOS or Android mobile device by loading the Bluejeans app. Participants can also dial a toll free number from a touch-tone phone to join the meeting. The Bluejeans video conferencing session can be recorded and the video can be downloaded in MP4 format. The Bluejeans session can be paired with a dedicated video conferencing system that is built-in a meeting room or a lecture theatre (such as the Cisco SX10 video conferencing system in Botany meeting room 1318) to support a large group of participants. You can find out more information about this service and other audio/visual services provided by Botany IT at https://it.botany.ubc.ca/it-services-and-resources/video-hosting/.
